Krasnaya Polyana resort opens the ski season

Guests of Krasnaya Polyana Resort are traditionally the first to be able to start skiing in the mountains of Sochi. It will be possible to enjoy snow-white slopes and mesmerizing mountain scenery from December 24

On the opening day, skiing instruction will also be available. The season premiere - 200-meter rope tow elevator at the Glade 2200 - will allow you to start learning to ski or snowboard from the first day of the new winter season. New green track along the elevator was symbolically named First Snow. Those who want to master snow-park skiing from scratch or improve their park tricks can use services of freestyle instructors. The snowpark in the Circus-2 mountain valley will be built for both experienced and beginner riders.

The long-awaited opening of the ski slopes became possible thanks to the abundant snowfall, which had brought a snow cyclone to the Aibga mountain range the day before. The peculiar climate of Tsirk-2 mountain valley has allowed the resort to accumulate snow since the first snowfall, which came to Krasnaya Polyana in October. According to meteorologists' forecasts, snowfall in Krasnaya Polyana will continue until the middle of the week, which guarantees skiers and snowboarders to open the ski season as soon as next Thursday.

In the winter season 2020 / 2021 for fans of skiing and snowboarding will be available 30 km of slopes, 9 zones for freeride, 14 modern ski elevators and 3 snow parks with different shapes. For skiers will open equipment rentals, instructor service, Academy of riders to teach children skiing, restaurants and cafes.
